How do badges and followed links work?
Set up a badge on your website so we can publish your free listing and earn dofollow credit.

Display a badge on your site
Every listing can show our badge. Go to your listing's badge page, pick a design (shape, light or dark, size) and copy the HTML snippet. The badge points back to your listing here.
Free listings: badge required for publication
Free listings stay in "waiting for badge" until our crawler spots a link from your website to your listing page. We scan automatically every 7 days.
If the badge is removed, your listing goes back to waiting status and we email you. Put it back up and publication resumes on the next check.
When your link becomes dofollow
Your badge link starts as nofollow. We check live:
- Your site's Domain Rating (Ahrefs) must reach at least 20
- Our spam checks must pass
If both conditions are met, the link switches to dofollow. Otherwise it stays nofollow.
Paid launches get a dofollow link on the listing page automatically. Free listings receive a nofollow link.
Earned badges
Launch of the Week winners, Featured, Launched and Verified badges appear on your listing when you earn them—no setup needed.
Questions people ask
- What happens if I remove the badge from my website?
- We check every 7 days. If it's gone, your listing moves back to waiting status and we notify you. Reinstall it and the listing republishes at the next scan.
- How does the badge link get dofollow status?
- The link stays nofollow unless your Domain Rating (Ahrefs) reaches 20 and our spam checks pass. Once both are true, it switches to dofollow live.
- Do I need a badge if I pay for my launch?
- No. Paid launches don't require a badge for publication and get a dofollow link on your listing page automatically.
