About
The Ace homepage
Ace is an iPhone study app that converts your own course material into four-option practice questions. Upload PDFs, PowerPoint slides, Word documents, ePub textbooks or YouTube lectures, choose the chapter you need, and Ace builds questions checked against that material. Every question is traced back to a specific passage in your source, and wrong answers are built from genuine misconceptions students make about the topic, so getting a question right means you learned it rather than guessed it.
You can study the questions solo at your own pace, or challenge a friend to a two-player quiz duel with 15-second turns, live scoring and a three-second moment to learn from each answer. The app includes a study calendar where you can schedule 30, 45 or 60-minute sessions and sync them to Google Calendar, spreading revision across the weeks before an exam rather than cramming it into one night.

FAQ
- What file types can I upload to Ace?
- You can upload PDF, PowerPoint (.pptx), Word (.docx), ePub, plain text and Markdown files up to 100 MB each, plus YouTube video links. Files need selectable text, so scanned photos of pages without a text layer will not work yet.
- How does Ace make sure questions are correct?
- Every question is written from a specific passage of your material and traced back to it. Ace also tests each question with and without the source: if it can be answered just as easily without studying, or the answer is not supported by the material, it is discarded before you see it.
- How much does Ace cost and what is included in the free trial?
- Your first study set is free on the website. After that, Ace Premium has a 3-day free trial on the weekly plan (€12.99 per week afterwards), a monthly plan at €39 and a yearly plan at €350. During the free trial you can upload up to three files and get access to all features.
- How do friend duels work in Ace?
- Pick a study set and invite a friend. When they join, you take alternating turns answering questions from that set. Each turn lasts up to 15 seconds, correct answers score points with a bonus for speed, and both phones show the correct answer for three seconds after each turn. Ace keeps score and shows the winner at the end.
- Is Ace available on Android?
- Not yet. Ace is currently available on iPhone and in your browser. An Android version is planned for later.
