Paid contribution ranking
The billboard is a leaderboard at /leaderboards/billboard that ranks listings by money contributed. The page is clearly labelled as a paid ranking. You choose your contribution amount in US dollars, with a minimum of $5.
Contributions add up: each new payment goes on top of what your listing has already contributed. The board orders listings by total contributed, highest first. Once you contribute, your listing stays on the board.
How to add a contribution
To add it from your account, your listing must be live.
- Sign in and go to /account/listings
- Select "Upgrades and extras" next to your listing
- Enter your contribution amount under Billboard
You can also add a billboard contribution when you submit your listing, at the plan step.
Separate from other rankings
The billboard is its own system. It does not buy votes, does not alter the community leaderboard, and does not affect Launch of the Week or any other ranking. Community votes, the billboard, verification and Domain Rating are all labelled separately and work independently of each other.
Promo codes do not reduce a billboard contribution.
Your link on the board
Every name on /leaderboards/billboard is a followed link (no nofollow) to the company's own website. Once you have contributed, the link stays for life, however the ranking changes. It goes only if the listing is taken down for breaking the rules, or if the contribution is refunded.
Questions people ask
- Does a billboard contribution change my community vote ranking?
- No. The billboard and community votes are separate systems, each labelled on the site. Contributing to the billboard does not affect votes or any other ranking.
- Can I add more money to my billboard contribution later?
- Yes. Each new contribution adds to your total. Your listing stays on the board as long as you have contributed.
- What is the minimum contribution?
- $5 in US dollars.
- Is there a website link with a billboard contribution?
- Yes. Your website is linked from the full board with a followed link for life, unless the listing is taken down for breaking our rules or the money is refunded.
